NONOCapo
Capo for iPhone helps you learn how to play the music stored on your iOS device. The app allows users to import songs from their iTunes library and manipulate them in ways that save both time and effort in the learning process. Copy-protected songs aren’t supported, but iTunes Plus files are.

Once you’ve imported a file, you can pick sections of the song to loop. This feature can save a ton of time and effort when trying to learn a mandolin solo or difficult passage. Capo allows you to slow down songs, or sections of songs, to one-quarter of the original speed without affecting pitch. There are labeled speeds at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1X the original tempo; as you put your finger on one of them, a floating menu pops up letting you refine your tempo choice, by single percentage points, from 25 percent of full speed to 100 percent of full speed.

Jam Buddy
Desktop AppWeb AppMobile AppiPhone - iPadWeb Site
NONOJam Buddy
JamBuddy is an accompaniment tool for musicians to use during practice sessions or just for fun. It will play the chord progressions for a tune at whatever tempo you want while you play lead breaks over them. 50 popular bluegrass tunes are included with the app and you can add as many more as you like. And it's not limited to bluegrass. It will work with reggae, rock, country or any other style of music. You can select either mandolin or guitar accompaniment. JamBuddy will keep playing all night and never complain that you are hogging the spotlight. I made this because I've used a number of CDs in the past to try to provide backing tracks during practice sessions. But you can't slow those down (or speed them up) without expensive software. JamBuddy will back you up at whatever speed you want and you can get it for a song (no pun intended). The tempo is saved individually for each tune so you can use it as a speed trainer. The 50 tunes included with the app will also keep you busy for a while. Headphones will give the highest quality sound.
