Mandozine TablEdit Archive

TablEdit is an app that allows musicians to create, edit, print and listen to tablature and sheet music (standard notation) for stringed instruments. TablEdit is an amazing learing tool. Mandozine hosts almost 3,000 mandolin TablEdit files, thanks to the intial work of Mike Stangeland, and others that have contributed tunes for the archive.

Tune of the Week

Over the years a tune of the week has been suggested on the CoMando Discussion list. Wendy Anthony conpiled a list from the archives to include on Mandozine.

Jethro Burns

Kenneth (Jethro) Burns was not just a great comedic entertainer with Henry Haynes in the comedy duo Homer and Jethro, he was a master Jazz mandolinist. Here's some great resources on learning from Jethro.

Jazz Mando

Will Patton is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. Will has been playing all kinds of music for over 30 years now, including celtic, jazz, rock and roll, bluegrass and Brazilian choro. Will has contributed some great lessons to Mandozine.

Blues Mando

Rich DelGrosso is the blues man of the mandolin. His deep knowledge and respect for the blues men of the past, influences his commitment to stay true to the blues heritage, but doesn't limit his exploration of style and technique. Rich has been generous in contributing profiles on Yank Rachelle and Johnny Young, including "Blues for Yank", "New Minglewood Blues", and Johnny Young's Shuffle", with arrangments by Rich.
